Top 10 Most Anticipated Gadgets Of 2012

happy

2011 has been a long and eventful year, with great inventions like the iPad 2, Galaxy S II, iPhone 4S and many other great gadgets. And for 2012, even greater things are expected. We have come up with a list of the Top 10 most awaited devices of 2012. Check them out below.

1. iPhone 5

1

The iPhone 5 surely the most anticipated device of 2012. Although the iPhone 4S became a major hit with over a million sales on the first day only, but still a lot of people hung on for the iPhone 5. The reason for not buying the iPhone 4S being the unchanged design and same sized screen. It is hoped that this iPhone 5 will have a completely change design with an aluminium back, and a bigger 4 inch screen.

Lets hope Apple doesn’t disappoint its fans even a little bit this time.

2. iPad 3

2

If not the top awaited device of 2012, it is surely the second most awaited device for 2012. iPad 2 was met with a huge demand, and is still the king of tablets with 61.5% shares in the global tablet market. iPad 3 is hoped to boast a better or Quad Core processor, better resolution and a little thicker profile.

It is rumored, that this beauty would land around March sometime, so not much to wait.

3. Samsung Galaxy S III

3

After the iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S lineup is the most popular one. Samsung sold around 10 million units of the Galaxy S II just in three months of it’s release, and it was the one of the fastest phone at the time of release. So many Android and Samsung fans are waiting for it.

There is no news of its release date or something, but keep a log on our site and we will keep you posted.

4. Successor To Xbox 360 (Xbox 720)

4

Microsoft’s Xbox 360 has had a long and successful life, and although it is still quite popular but now, it has almost completed its life cycle. And people are hoping that Microsoft finally updates its Xbox 360 lineup with more multimedia support and faster processor

According to some resources, this game-machine will have an 8 core processor, 3D, 4K2K, multiTV (DPConnect), live TV and webcam, as well as GPS that allows users to view the location of any other user on an active map.

It is rumored, that Microsoft will probably release a successor to Xbox 360 in 2012.

5. Nintendo Wii U

5

Despite the success of Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s PlayStation 3, Nintendo has remained the king of all consoles with its Nintendo Wii. But still, in 2011 it has been losing its lead. The main reason being the less multmedia support of the Wii. So Nintendo introduced the new Nintendo Wii U, with more features and a new controller with a touch screen, 6 inches wide and contains a built-in microphone, speakers, gyroscope, accelerometer, rumble and camera.

It is the first console from Nintendo to produce 1080p high-definition graphics and is expected to be released sometime after March 2012.

6. PlayStation Vita

6

Sony bagged the portable gaming industry with nearly 89 million sales of its PlayStation Portable. After that, Sony is looking to have a bang on the portable gaming industry with its PlayStation Vita. This one supports a Quad Core processor, touch screen, two analog sticks, a new design and 4-bit color with a resolution of 960 × 540 qHD and has pixel density of 220 ppi.

It was originally introduced at E3 2011 and has been released in Japan on 17th December but both in the US and UK have to wait as it got a bit delayed, and is now hoped to be released on FEB. 22, 2012(as Bestbuy predicts), so we have included it in our upcoming gadgets in 2012 list. Sony confirmed its price to be $250 so you will hopefully be able to pick it up on FEB. 22, 2012 for $250.

7. Quad Core Tablets And Smartphones

7

Until now, Dual-Core tablets and smartphones were the top line but not any more. NVIDIA introduced its NVIDI Tegra 3, being the first Quad-Core processor for a hand held device. ASUS jumped on the bandwagon, and introduced its ASUS Transformer Prime, becoming the first one to develop a Quad-Core tablet. It was simply blazing fast, and other tablet and smartphone manufacturers(HTC,Samsung,Acer,Toshiba)  are now getting ready to adopt it and move on to Quad-Core. So 2012 would likely be the year of Quad-Core devices.

8. MacBook Pro With Retina Display

8

Another main thing, that people are expecting from Apple in 2012 is a MacBook Pro with Retina Display or pretty high resolution of 2880×1800. It was widely rumored a few days ago, and if these rumors are right, then surely we will see a release of MacBook Pro with Retina Display and a resolution of 2880×1800 in 2012.

Lets hope that these rumors are really true.

9. UltraBooks

9

Advanced and ultralight UltraBooks are also expected to arrive in 2012. ASUS, Samsung and Acer, all are constantly increasing the power of their ultrabooks and also decreasing their weight.

More advanced and light weight UltraBooks are another main thing, that are making people wait for 2012 more impatiently.

10. Apple HD TV

10

It really seems like our list is full of things from Apple. But we have to include them, as people are expecting a lot from the tech giant, Apple. Apple is expected to release(we must have said that half a dozen times) an HD TV in 2012 with much changes.

The HD-TV would come in 15 to 19-inch range powered by the company’s mobile operation system, iOS. Another feature of this TV would be play games as well as videos, run applications and providing you control over social networking sites, like Twitter, Facebook and Google+

Top 10 New Year’s Resolutions For 2012

Top 10 New Year’s Resolutions For 2012

2012

Do you find you have the same New Year’s resolutions each year?
Do you start out on January 1st all pumped and determined and then quickly lose steam, motivation and commitment?
Creating lasting change is hard; and it takes focus and commitment which can be difficult to sustain. Here are some New Year’s resolutions for 2012 that will bring great benefits to your life, cost you very little and give you the confidence to start achieving bigger goals.

new year

1. Face your fears and crush your comfort zone

We all have our comfort zones but it’s important that we stretch ourselves both physically and mentally, on a regular basis. That thing you’re resisting, that ‘thing’ you’re scared of doing. That’s the thing you need to do. Challenge yourself to do something different and make it a habit to face your fears.

2. Get to know your neighbors and make new friends

How many of us really know our neighbors anymore? Getting to know the people we live closely with; no longer seems to be that important. But this is how safe and supportive communities are built, so if you want where you live to feel like a community, get to know the people around you.
You might find you make some new friends, and you won’t feel so embarrassed when you knock asking for a ladder, after locking yourself out of the house (for the 2nd time that week)

3. Learn a new skill, and for longer than the month of January

Whether its website design, crochet or dog handling, what’s that skill you’d really love to learn or become better at?
Make 2012 the year that you resolve to achieve that. Take a class, on online course; or put together your own home study. It’s not important what method you choose, it only matters that you commit to it.
A great way to commit is to pay up front, then make yourself accountable by telling all your family and friends what you’ve committed to doing. It’s a lot harder to give up when everyone keeps asking “hey ….how’s the guitar going, know any good songs yet?”.

4. Volunteer some of your time to a charity, and gain karma points

We’re all busy people with family, work and friends and the everyday domestics of life to take care of. It can be hard to find a little time for ourselves, but all of us; have at least a weekend a year that we can give to help a worthy cause or others less fortunate than ourselves.
You don’t have to wait until your super rich to ‘give back’. You can start today.

5. Spend time looking after you. Enjoy that 2hr bath, you deserve it

Time with our selves is important, but when life gets hectic and busy it can be easy to forget that and put everything else first. Everybody needs down-time, a moment to re-evaluate and recharge their body and mind. Making time for ‘you’ is not a luxury.

6. Clear the house of everything not used in the last 2 years

Our homes are full of stuff we don’t need, use or really want. This New Year’s resolution for 2012; comes in two parts. Firstly, go through your entire home and get rid of everything that hasn’t been used in the last 2 years. Unless it’s something particularly important, you won’t miss it when it’s gone.
Then, resolve not to buy any more stuff you don’t need.

7. Be more spontaneous and live a little (you know you want to)

Don’t you find you have the best time when you just go with the flow and trust your intuition? Yet often times; we fall into stale routines and ruts that we find hard to break. So start with small things; like eating something different for lunch every day. Why not hop on a train and discover a place you’ve never been to before. Just remember to have fun with it.

8. Make a financial investment. A new Apple product doesn’t count

….”Stop buying liabilities and starting acquiring assets”-unknown. This is great advice that we should all follow, but let’s be honest, we don’t! Make that advice your mantra for 2012 and start looking for opportunities where you can wisely invest your money. Do your research, get some professional advice if needed and start making your money work for you.

9. Do not take any credit. If you can’t pay cash, you can’t afford it

Cut up all credit cards except one. This is the emergency card, for use in EMERGENCIES only. A new pair of jeans is not an emergency. Make a plan of how you will repay your existing debt, and then make a pact with yourself not to take on any more debt or credit-for anything.

10. Laugh every day and look younger for longer

Laughing raises serotonin levels, it feels good and it keeps you young. Make it a New Year’s resolution for 2012 that you will laugh more every day. Life is not always easy; we all have problems and challenges. But we can actively choose to have an optimistic outlook on life and expect the best outcome. You can find something to laugh about every day.
Not every New Year’s resolution list has to start…
• Lose 25lbs
• Save $3000 (in 2 months) …….

We can take a more realistic and holistic approach to life and in the process; be a little kinder to ourselves. Changing bad habits and creating good habits requires consistency, and it can be tempting to try and change all of these bad habits on the same day. This is a poor strategy; as we get overwhelmed and quit .
If we take a more measured, long term approach to change and learn to stick with it when it gets tough. We’ll all be a lot more successful creating permanent change and sticking to our New Year’s Resolutions.

10 Most Famous African-American Oscar Winners

10 Most Famous African-American Oscar Winners

0

Despite all the laws being passed against racism, its remnants still exist in America to a large extent. People are sidelined at many places because they are not white. Especially the evil of slavery that the African-Americans had to go through for centuries is of a brutal description. The racial slurs are part of the vocabulary of racist people still today and they don’t hesitate to show their narrow-mindedness. The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences is no different in this case. There have been only 13 African-American actors and actresses who have won an Oscar for their performances. The first African-American Oscar winner was James Baskett but he did not win in any acting category and was given an honorary award in 1946 when he sang “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” for the Disney movie “Song of the South”. Two of the most famous winners are Denzel Washington (Training Day, 2002) and Halle Berry (Monster’s Ball, 2002). Within the last decade of 2000s there have been seven winners alone. Here are the ten African-American Oscar winners:

Top 10 Best Sopken Languages In The World

Top 10 Best Sopken Languages In The World

0Language is perhaps the most important function of the human body – it allows us to get sustenance as a child, it allows us to get virtually anything we want as an adult, and it allows us many hours of entertainment through literature, radio, music, and films. This list (in order of least to most spoken) summarizes the most important languages in use today.

Mandarin

1

Number of speakers: 1 billion+

Surprise, surprise, the most widely spoken language on the planet is based in the most populated country on the planet. Beating second-place English by a 2 to 1 ratio, but don’t let that lull you into thinking that Mandarin is easy to learn. Speaking Mandarin can be really tough, because each word can be pronounced in four ways (or “tones”), and a beginner will invariably have trouble distinguishing one tone from another. But if over a billion people could do it, so could you. Try saying hello!

To say “hello” in Mandarin, say “Ni hao” (Nee HaOW). (“Hao” is pronounced as one syllable, but the tone requires that you let your voice drop midway, and then raise it again at the end.)

English

2

Number of speakers: 508 million

While English doesn’t have the most speakers, it is the official language of more countries than any other language. Its speakers hail from all around the world, including New Zealand, the U.S., Australia, England, Zimbabwe, the Caribbean, Hong Kong, South Africa, and Canada. We’d tell you more about English, but you probably feel pretty comfortable with the language already. Let’s just move on to the most popular language in the world.

To say “hello” in English, say “What’s up, freak?” (watz-UP-freek).

Hindustani

3

Number of speakers: 497 million

Hindustani is the primary language of India’s crowded population, and it encompasses a huge number of dialects (of which the most commonly spoken is Hindi). While many predict that the population of India will soon surpass that of China, the prominence of English in India prevents Hindustani from surpassing the most popular language in the world. If you’re interested in learning a little Hindi, there’s a very easy way: rent an Indian movie. The film industry in India is the most prolific in the world, making thousands of action/romance/musicals every year.

To say “hello” in Hindustani, say “Namaste” (Nah-MAH-stay)

Spanish

Aside from all of those kids who take it in high school, Spanish is spoken in just about every South American and Central American country, not to mention Spain, Cuba, and the U.S. There is a particular interest in Spanish in the U.S., as many English words are borrowed from the language, including: tornado, bonanza, patio, quesadilla, enchilada, and taco grande supreme.

To say “hello” in Spanish, say “Hola” (OH-la).

Russian

5

Number of speakers: 277 million

Mikhail Gorbachev, Boris Yeltsin, and Yakov Smirnoff are among the millions of Russian speakers out there. Sure, we used to think of them as our Commie enemies. Now we think of them as our Commie friends. One of the six languages in the UN, Russian is spoken not only in the Mother Country, but also in Belarus, Kazakhstan, and the U.S. (to name just a few places).

To say “hello” in Russian, say “Zdravstvuite” (ZDRAST-vet-yah).

Arabic

6

Number of speakers: 246 million

Arabic, one of the world’s oldest languages, is spoken in the Middle East, with speakers found in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt. Furthermore, because Arabic is the language of the Koran, millions of Moslems in other countries speak Arabic as well. So many people have a working knowledge of Arabic, in fact, that in 1974 it was made the sixth official language of the United Nations.

To say “hello” in Arabic, say “Al salaam a’alaykum” (Ahl sah-LAHM ah ah-LAY-koom).

Bengali

7

Number of speakers: 211 million

In Bangladesh, a country of 120+ million people, just about everybody speaks Bengali. And because Bangladesh is virtually surrounded by India (where the population is growing so fast, just breathing the air can get you pregnant), the number of Bengali speakers in the world is much higher than most people would expect.

To say “hello” in Bengali, say “Ei Je” (EYE-jay)

Portuguese

8

Number of speakers: 191 million

Think of Portuguese as the little language that could. In the 12th Century, Portugal won its independence from Spain and expanded all over the world with the help of its famous explorers like Vasco da Gama and Prince Henry the Navigator. (Good thing Henry became a navigator . . . could you imagine if a guy named “Prince Henry the Navigator” became a florist?) Because Portugal got in so early on the exploring game, the language established itself all over the world, especially in Brazil (where it’s the national language), Macau, Angola, Venezuela, and Mozambique.

To say “hello” in Portuguese, say “Bom dia” (bohn DEE-ah).

Malay-Indonesian

9

Number of speakers: 159 million

Malay-Indonesian is spoken – surprise – in Malaysia and Indonesia. Actually, we kinda fudged the numbers on this one because there are many dialects of Malay, the most popular of which is Indonesian. But they’re all pretty much based on the same root language, which makes it the ninth most-spoken in the world.

Indonesia is a fascinating place; a nation made up of over 13,000 islands it is the sixth most populated country in the world. Malaysia borders on two of the larger parts of Indonesia (including the island of Borneo), and is mostly known for its capital city of Kuala Lumpur.

To say “hello” in Indonesian, say “Selamat pagi” (se-LA-maht PA-gee).

French

10

Number of speakers: 129 million

Often called the most romantic language in the world, French is spoken in tons of countries, including Belgium, Canada, Rwanda, Cameroon, and Haiti. Oh, and France too. We’re actually very lucky that French is so popular, because without it, we might have been stuck with Dutch Toast, Dutch Fries, and Dutch kissing (ew!).

To say “hello” in French, say “Bonjour” (bone-JOOR).
