Top 9 Most Extreme Weather Conditions in Our Solar System

Top 9 Most Extreme Weather Conditions in Our Solar System

Here’s the most extreme weather conditions in our solar system. The outer space is so wide, even just for our solar system, It still so huge to be discovered. There’s a lot of phenomenon happen in the outer space. One of those phenomenon is the bizarre weather. Some of the weather is so extreme for human being. Let’s take a look at the most extreme weather conditions in our solar system

1. Iron Rain

Called as “failed star”, the brown dwarf planet is a planet that newly discovered in our solar system (as we knew this is one of the 3 Dwarf planets in our solar system that newly discovered). The brown color indicates that the planet has ferum element (iron)  in high portion. This planet has a storm like Jupiter and pull the ferum to the surface of it. Brown dwarf planet is getting cold from time to time as the gas molecules condense into liquid iron clouds and rain. With the further cooling, a huge storm swept away the clouds, let the infrared light escape into space.

 2. Dust Buster

Mars has been known to have flung dust storms that swept through parts of the march. This rust-colored dust can be blown with a speed of 60-100 mph (97-161 kilometers) per hour, which lasts for weeks to months. Once started, this can be impenetrable fog blanketed more than half the planet, raising the temperature 30 degrees Celsius in parts of mars

 3. Close Encounter

The 2 spots on the Jupiter below is a raging storm on the planet. We can compare the size of the storm to the planet size so We can see how big is the storm. The big red spot storms is more than twice the width of the Earth with a 350 mph (563 kph) winds and another smaller storms on the smaller red. Although not fully understood, scientists think the red color correlates with the intensity of the storm-winds and generates from chemical compound under the clouds and lift them to high places and added with ultraviolet to produce that kind of color.

4. Freeze Frame

The temperature on Uranus can reach below minus 300 degrees Fahrenheit (89 Kelvin). Uranus has a rotation of 17 hours but reached 84 years of the revolution which led to season that would be a long time to change. Sometimes. It can be so cold that methane in the atmosphere condenses into clouds of methane crystals.

5. Windy World

In Neptune found the winds that blow more powerful than that on Earth, reaching 1500 mile per hour (2414 km per hour). Along with the rapid rotation of the planet (approximately 16 hours), causing fast hot and cold convection and creating a speed exceeding the wind speed on Earth.

6. The Ice Planet

Pluto that now is not regarded as the 9th planet in this solar system has the fact that sunlight received on the earth compare to Pluto is around 1:1000. That caused the planet is comprised of ice consisting of frozen nitrogen, methane and carbon dioxide with temperatures ranging from minus 387 to minus 369 Fahrenheit (40-50 degrees Kelvin). Everything on this planet is just ice.

7. Methane Moon

Cassini Huygens spacecraft found strong evidence of heavy liquid methane rains occurred in the Saturn moon, Titan. It’s probably the “water” that found on that moon is methane as well because the cold temperatures of Titan (94 degrees Kelvin). In that temperature water also would be locked up as ice.

8. Hot Crush

Venus is considered as the hottest place in our solar system. With a temperature of about 750 Kelvin and a pressure about 90 times compare to earth will make every visitor will be crushed. Scientists say that this happens because of excessive greenhouse effect of sulfate cloud cover venus sky.

9. Severe Lightning

NASA’s Cassini spacecraft has seen an electrical storm larger than the continental of United States electric storm at Saturn, with lightning flashes of about 1000 times more powerful than on Earth. Lightning storm that stretches 2175 miles (3500 kilometers) from north to south and emit radio sound the same as that resulted by lightning on earth.
