He has made India a Global presence for the first time in a thousand years, let alone since Independence. He is globally respected as a senior statesman and someone who gets listened to. He has done this due to his innate abilty and capacity for solving serious problems.
SCHIN TENDULKAR
He has become known even in countries which do not play cricket since he is one of those few people who are acknowledged to be the best in their chosen sport. Just as Pele is known for football. Sachin is cricket personified.
AR RAHMAN
He is the only product of Bollywood in its 100-years history who has broken through the Hollywood glass ceiling. He is now a genuinely global musician. He has done this by exploring the possibilities of music east and west but in a unique synthesis of his own.
