Kolkata/ Bhubaneswar: Xavier Institute of Management-Bhubaneswar (XIMB), one of the premier B-schools in the country, has decided to roll out a one-year Global Management programme from September this year.
The full-time, interactive management programme, spanning across three continents- Asia, Europe and USA, will be offered by XIMB in collaboration with Antwerp Management School and Fordham Graduate School of Business-New York.
Under this unique programme, the students will spend four months each at XIMB, Antwerp Management School and Fordham Graduate School of Business-New York.
"In this programme, we will take 20 students each from the US, Europe and India. They will learn business management in New York and Antwerp, the financial capitals of the US and Europe. In India, they will study at our Bhubaneswar campus.
Though other institutes have such outstation teaching programmes in India, it involved only Indian students and not foreign students~, said P T Joseph, director of XIMB.
Joseph has signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Phillipe Naert, Dean of Antwerp Management School and David Gautschi, Dean of Fordham Graduate School of Business- New York, to launch the one-year programme.
Students will be admitted based on criteria such as a university degree along with XAT/CAT/MAT/GMAT and TOEFL/IELTS scores, and a personal interview with one of the Deans of the programme.
In Antwerp, the students will understand how to manage diversity in a multi-cultural society while in India; they will get a feel of how technology and innovation operate at the bottom of the pyramid and achieve sustainable growth in emerging markets.
On the other hand in New York, they will be exposed to a diverse financial spectrum as well as a perspective on global media.
The key courses include Global Strategy, Integrated Performance Management, Global Finance, International Marketing, Innovation Management, Global HR management, International Business Law, and business perspectives in the European, Indian and American contexts.
The Personal Development Portfolio, which is customized at each location, is a special learning input designed to develop students individual capabilities.
