Kingfisher Airlines, Finnair enhance frequent flyer cooperation
Liquor baron Vijay Mallya-promoted Kingfisher airline has entered into a new agreement with Finnair for enhancing its frequent flyer programme, a senior official of the Nordic carrier said today.
"We are pleased with the enhanced cooperation with Kingfisher Airlines which allows earning and redeeming King Miles to all travellers on the Finnair network across the globe," said Kari Stolbow, director Indian sub-continent, Finnair.
According to the Nordic carrier, the new programme which was started March 11 has given passengers better connectivity options to major European and Asian destinations, while the customers also benefited by earning King Miles.
Both the airlines are members of the global airline alliances Oneworld, which allows enhanced cooperation between member carriers.
The airline said passengers of both the airlines can now get better international access via flights with Kingfisher flights from Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Jaipur and Ahmedabad to Finnair's vast European network comprising around 60 cities.
Currently, the Nordic carrier operates daily flights between Helsinki to Delhi, while further connecting 11 Asian destinations. (IANS)
