2012 has seen an incredible baby boom amongst celebrities around the world, with newborns arriving for a host of A-listers since January.

Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z kicked off the baby boom way back in January 2012.
Perhaps the coolest family on the planet welcomed their newest member, daughter Blue Ivy Carter, on the January 7.
Amazingly, Blue has already followed her parent's musical footsteps; her one-week-old cries were featured on her father's track Glory, earlier this year.
Sam Taylor-Wood and Aaron Johnson
Director Sam Taylor-Wood gave birth to her second daughter with Kick-Ass star Aaron Johnson, on 18 January 2012.
The pair had their first daughter, Wylda Rae, in 2010, while Taylor Wood has two daughters, Angelica and Jessie, from a previous relationship.
The eccentric-looking couple settled on an aptly unconventional name for their new arrival too; Romy Hero Johnson.
Robert Downey Jr and Susan Levin
It may seem like a long time ago now, but February 7 2012 saw Sherlock Holmes star Robert Downey Jr and wife Susan Levin welcome their first child together, a son named Exton Elias Downey.
Exton will be the much younger brother of Downey's 18-year-old son, Indio Falconer Downey, from his ill-fated marriage to Deborah Falconer
Jason Bateman and Amanda Anka
Arrested Development and Horrible Bosses star Jason Bateman and wife Amanda Anka were able to extend their family on February 10 2012, when they welcomed daughter Maple Sylvie Bateman in to the world.
Maple will be a younger sister for the pair's first daughter, Francesca, aged five.
Hilary Duff and Mike Comerie
Hilary Duff, pictured here with fiancé and former ice hockey player Mike Comerie, was able to give birth to healthy baby boy Luca Cruz Comrie on 20 March 2012.
Actress Duff, who shot to fame in the Lizzie Maguire movies, had been struggling with her bump for some time, but can now enjoy her first experiences with parenthood
Charlize Theron
March 2012 also saw Oscar winner Charlize Theron become a mother for the first time.
The South African born actress, aged 36, adopted four-month-old baby boy Jackson earlier in the year.
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck
On February 27 2012, A-list couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were finally able to add a son to their family, which already includes daughters Seaphina and Violet. The pair named their son Samuel Garner Affleck.
Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley
Knocked Up star Katherine Heigl and singer Josh Kelley adopted their second child last April, a girl named Adalaide Marie Hope Kelley.
The couple, who met at a music video shoot for Kelley's song 'Only you', adopted their first daughter, Naleigh, from South Korea in 2009
Jessica Simpson
Actress Jessica Simpson, pictured here with designer John Varvatos, and fiancé Eric Johnson were finally able to celebrate the birth of their first child on May 1 2012.
Former NFL player Johnson and Simpson, whose pregnancy seemed to last an eternity, have named their daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson.
Alyson Hannigan
How I Met Your Mother and American Pie actress Alyson Hannigan welcomed her second daughter, named Keeva, with husband Alexis Denisof on 23 May 2012.
The pair, who met on the set of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, already have one daughter, three-old Satyana.
Chris Hemsworth
Thor and Avengers Assemble star Chris Hemsworth and wife Elsa Pataky welcomed their first child on May 10 2012.
Australian Hemsworth, who became a dad whilst promoting his latest film Snow White and the Huntsman, has since promised to cut back the long days of filming to be there for his wife and new child.

The newborn is 42-year-old Thurman's first child with fiancé Arpad Busson, though the Pulp Fiction star has two with ex-husband Ethan Hawke. Businessman Busson has two children of his own, from a previous relationship with supermodel Elle McPherson.
